What sort of snowdrop?

ETA: After discussing it with gardening hobby person Mother Dearest, and doing a bit more research, it looks as though what I have here is a Snowflake (genus Leucojum), and after all not a Snowdrop (so if I post this as my profile pic, then I would actually be saying I see myself as a "special snowflake"!) This is, apparently, a bit of a classic mistake to make, rookie error almost - but I am a bit of a rookie when it comes to flower recognition, so I'm not bothered by looking like a fool on this! So maybe I will find a snowdrop to photograph next year!

For a while I have wanted to have an image of actual snowdrops to use in various web places and such, considering what my nickname is an' all. Here's a picture I took a couple of days ago:

These are growing by the side of the road on my walk into town. I am pretty sure they are technically some variety of snowdrop (genus Galanthus) but they don't look like the common snowdrop (G. nivalis), and I have not yet found an image of a variety that matches these, so it would be great if someone could tell me what they are!

As far as I can see, the main features here are that the inner petals seem to be about the same length as the outer petals (this is, apparently, called "poculiform", my research has suggested so far, although one source said that meant "slipper-shaped", so I don't know).   All the petals have green tip markings.   It seems to me to be very tall for a snowdrop, so it may be a 'large' or 'giant' variety.    I suppose it could be some variant of G. Nivalis that hasn't shown up in my web searches.

I would feel a bit weird using an image and associating myself with it as an identification mark, when I did not even know for sure what the image showed, so hopefully someone can clear this up for me!
