Yet another year under the bridge

My birthday ended just over 2 hours ago, so I am now a much older and wiser man (obviously) with even more wit and intelligence to impart. (if you're feeling rich and/or generous, you can check out my Amazon wishlists and buy me a birthday present, if you've enjoyed the wit and wisdom and intellect that I've imparted to date! *hinthinthint*)

I've been spending the past few days with my parents, and will be here on Dad's computer for another few days (there's a wedding we're all going to next weekend), so I have once again been missing all the goings on on a number of the blogs I read, on account of I fear that Dad would disapprove of the types of information that might appear on those blogs. If I have anything witty, intelligent or wise to say about any of your posts from while I'm away, I shall probably do a big round-up post of my comments in one go when I get back home.

A distant (in terms of family tree) and close (in terms of how well we knew her) relative died recently, and left a rather large sum, which has gone to clearing a lot of my debts, which means my finances are in the healthiest state they've been for years. naturally, some of it I am going to blow on gadget-y stuff and/or musical instruments, but I swear I will use it mostly to get those debts under control, absolutely, definitely, scouts' honour [what's that reader? I was never a scout? good point!].

Also when I get home, I will be uploading many incredibly cute photos to my computer, and if people are nice (see above re: wishlists! *hinthinthint*) then I will undoubtedly share some of them. The Unchanging One and Scrawny Mog have both been caught on camera. Grim, Squeeze and Little Dizzy were here on Saturday, meaning that I have very cute images of Little Dizzy too - I may or may not share those with the world, seeing as I don't want to invade the privacy of my friends by publishing their pics all over the web.

Among my gifts so far (not many of them, true, but good ones all of them) has been the second volume of Avatar Book 1, which is very very fun and enjoyable, and I can't thank Ren enough for her rave reviews that got me interested in the first place!

That's all the news I have for you right now, so I'll let you all get on with choosing what to get me from Amazonhaving a good time.

Comments Moderation Policy

This blog is intended to be a place where I can develop my thoughts freely and get free and honest responses. Essentially, it is my safe space, and for that reason I have elected to maintain this blog as a moderated space. However, I am opposed in general to censorship and believe that usually the best way to kill a bad idea is with a better one, so very few comments will be rejected. Comments designed to cause offence for the sake of it (e.g. abusive or inflammatory remarks with no other content), or else those that I feel cross a boundary of human decency, are most likely to be rejected.
